Helpful questions to ask when looking for quality care

I have been on both sides of this process.  I have been a parent looking for child care for my daughter and I have also been the teacher interviewing with potential families.  I think parents need to trust their instincts and gut feelings about the child care/school setting.   
Do you feel comfortable with the adult caregiver or teacher?
Does the environment look child friendly and safe?  
Does your child(ren) feel comfortable?
Do other children look happy and content being in this situation?  
Can you openly discuss any questions and concerns you might have?
